CALIFORNIA CORRECTIONS OFFICER CORE COURSE: 176 Hours, Also known as the "Corrections Officer Basic Academy". We are the original private provider of correctional officer core training going back to 1974 when the mandated curriculum was 40 hours. Course includes written skills, performance and knowledge testing

CALIFORNIA CORRECTIONS OFFICER SUPPLEMENTAL CORE COURSE FOR PEACE OFFICERS: 56 Hours, Also known as the "Corrections Deputy Basic Academy". Course includes written skills, performance and knowledge testing

CORRECTIONAL SUPERVISORS CORE COURSE: 80 Hours All newly promoted police jail, sheriff's jails, juvenile and adult probation supervisors must complete this course as part of their employment probation. Course includes written skills, performance and knowledge testing

CLASSIFICATION OFFICER CERTIFICATION COURSE: 24 Hours. This course covers all the legal issues, inmate classification standards-of-care, classification standard-practices a jail or juvenile institution classification officer must be qualified. This course certifies the participant has completed the training and passed 3 written examinations. We offer 3 more core inmate classification knowledge and skills courses.

FACILITY TRAINING OFFICER (FTO) CERTIFICATION COURSE; 40 Hours. In compliance with OSHA, FDL, and other regulations, new corrections employees must receive basic health and safety training. Legal standards require new employees be trained in foreseeably dangerous or hazardous duties. The apprenticeship training officer, FTO. CTO, DTO, JTO is responsible for training and testing new employees for competency and compliance to legitimate job standards for probationary employees. This course certifies the participant has completed the training and successfully passed 5 written examinations and 3 performance tests.

TYPE 1 JAIL SUPERVISOR AND MANAGER CERTIFICATION COURSE: 24 Hours. California Type 1 Jails hold adult and juvenile offenders. Adult prisoners can be held for 96 hours. Criminal detainees can be held longer by court order and by contract. Must Type 1 Jails are operated as city jails or as Sheriff's substation jails. This course certifies the jail supervisor or manager in the legal and operational issues specific to Type 1 operations.

COURT AND TEMPORARY HOLDING FACILITIES (CHF/THF) SUPERVISOR AND MANAGER CERTIFICATION COURSE: 24 Hours. Court holding facilities hold adult and juvenile offenders in judicial buildings for 12 hours or less. Temporary Holding Facilities are in police stations and small Sheriff's facilities holding juveniles for not more than 6 hours for juveniles and 24 hours for adults. This course certifies the jail supervisor or manager in the legal and operational issues specific to CHF & THF operations.

COURT AND TEMPORARY HOLDING FACILITIES (CHF/THF) BIANNUAL CERTIFICATION COURSE- CCR TITLE 15 §1024 Compliance Training: 8 Hours. This is a sate regulation mandate for refresher and update training of any police, sheriff, or civil employee supervision juvenile or adult detainee in a CHF or THF. Participants are required to passed juvenile temporary custody and adult detention written testing.
