Naber Technical Enterprises (NTE) is a professional development seminar and training company in California. NTE is accredited by Federal and California State Government Agencies. NTE has been delivering government approved law enforcement, correctional and public safety training for over 25 years nationally. Our programs for line officers, operational supervisors, managers and administrators. We specialize in law enforcement supervisory and management training, consulting and research. Our current research project is the Recruitment, Hiring and Retention of Police, Sheriff, and Law Enforcement personnel.
About NTE the company and its leadership
Naber Technical Enterprises (NTE) was founded by Bill Naber in 1981. Bill had been a regular criminal justice trainer at the Santa Rosa Regional Training Center and for the Marin County Sheriff since 1970. The company began by developing a number of technical courses for U.S. Marshals Service, the California State Sheriff's Association, and for various other training associations using Bill's extensive knowledge of law enforcement, legal issues of the government workplace and international police supervision/management research.
In addition to developing training courses, Bill worked as an Assistant Court Compliance Officer in the implementation of State and Federal court orders concerning management of adult and juvenile detention facilities. He is a state and federally recognized court trial consultant and expert witness in law enforcement operations.
NTE continues to expand and grow. As a company, NTE currently specializes in CUSTOMIZED TRAINING for criminal justice agencies and for regional training groups. In 1984 NTE began marketing nationally to government and criminal justice. NTE develops its own copyrighted programmed learning texts that can be easily modified to a specific department's needs and concerns. NTE currently offers over 216 training courses and programs qualified for certification and reimbursement by state and federal authorities. NTE provides an average of 10,000 training days nationally.
BILL NABER, Detention Administrator (Captain)
Sonoma Sheriff, Retired
Mr. Naber retired as a Sheriff's Detention Administrator (Captain) in January 1984 with over 20 years service in law enforcement. He progressed through the ranks from deputy sheriff, sergeant, lieutenant before competing for the Sonoma Sheriff's position.
His formal training experience began with military service and progressed into college, university, and police academy law enforcement training programs. Training scope includes instruction, course development and program management through regional training centers, colleges, universities, California Peace Officer Standards and Training program, and the Federal Department of Justice.
Since his retirement, Mr. Naber has been appointed as an Assistant Court Compliance Officer, auditing for state and federal courts. He is a nationally known Expert Witness on law enforcement topics. Mr. Naber is a regular guest speaker/facilitator at national conferences.
Mr. Naber's training and consulting firm, Naber Technical Enterprises (NTE) has earned national recognition for its contributions to criminal justice profession. N.T.E. currently offers 216 different government and corrections courses, correctional programs, custody and probation seminars.
TANYA NABER, Co-Owner, Company Business Manager and Treasurer

Ms. Naber has many years of experience in the business world. She has been Business Manager of NTE since 1992. Her leadership revised all office and financial procedures, the hiring of new staff, supervision of central office employees and oversight of NTE's many corrections training services. Her education is in Business Administration and Accounting.

About Our Instructors and Facilitators
NTE presently has 87 public safety trainers and corrections facilitators. Our Instructors are practicing professionals in law enforcement, corrections, communications, custody services, probation supervision related emergency services. Individually and as teams, NTE presenter are available with very little notice and can travel.
